Join the Northeast Iowa Dairy & Agriculture Foundation for the 11th annual Breakfast on the Farm Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 8:30 am - Noon at Iowa's Dairy Center located south of Calmar. We’ll be serving up a wholesome breakfast complete with Dad's Belgian Waffles, sausage and of course delicious dairy products including milk, cheese, yogurt and ice cream that’s all been locally produced and processed. There will be plenty of activities to keep you busy on the farm including:

  • Guided tram tours around the farm
  • Hand milk a cow
  • Petting zoo
  • Story Time with the Dairy Princess
  • Cow inflatable
  • Corn pools
  • Educational exhibits
  • And more!

This outdoor event will follow current CDC guidelines and guests are encouraged to wear masks and maintain social distance. Handwashing and sanitation stations will be available on-site.

Breakfast on the Farm will be held rain or shine. Donations are accepted the day of and parking is available on-site. Visit our Facebook event for more information. See you there!

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATING TO CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19

While participating in the Breakfast on the Farm, sponsored and promoted by the Northeast Iowa Dairy & Agriculture Foundation, it is recommended that “social distancing” be practiced according to the standards and guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, the Northeast Iowa Dairy & Agriculture Foundation has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 at the Breakfast on the Farm. However, the Northeast Iowa Dairy & Agriculture Foundation cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, partners or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19.

LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS:

I acknowledge the risk associated with participating in social events, and I willingly engage in the Breakfast on the Farm, sponsored and promoted by the Northeast Iowa Dairy & Agriculture Foundation.

RELEASE AND WAIVER.

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE AGAINST THE NORTHEAST IOWA DAIRY & AGRICULTURE FOUNDATION AND ITS AFFILIATED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”), EITHER IN LAW OR IN EQUITY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES OR LOSSES CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE, FAULT OR CONDUCT OF ANY KIND ON THE PART OF THE RELEASED PARTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DEATH, BODILY INJURY, ILLNESS, ECONOMIC LOSS OR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, OR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, WHICH I, MY HEIRS, ASSIGNEES, NEXT OF KIN AND/OR LEGALLY APPOINTED OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES, MAY HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREINAFTER ACCRUE ON MY BEHALF, WHICH ARISE OR MAY HEREAFTER ARISE FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN THE BREAKFAST ON THE FARM.

ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK. I acknowledge and understand the following:

Participation in the Breakfast on the Farm includes possible exposure to an illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; I knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, even if arising from the negligence or fault of the Released Parties; and I hereby knowingly assume the risk of injury, harm and loss associated with my attending the Breakfast on the Farm, including any injury, harm and loss caused by the negligence, fault or conduct of any kind on the part of the Released Parties.

As a participant or attendee, you recognize that your participation, involvement and/or attendance at the Breakfast on the Farm is voluntary and may result in personal injury (including death). By attending, observing, or participating in the Breakfast on the Farm, You acknowledge and assume all risks and dangers associated with your participation and/or attendance, and You agree that the Released Parties will not be responsible for any personal injury (including death), property damage, or other loss suffered as a result of your participation in or attendance at the Breakfast on the Farm regardless if any such injuries or losses are caused by the negligence of any of the Released Parties (collectively, the “Released Claims”).

BY ATTENDING AND/OR PARTICIPATING IN THE BREAKFAST ON THE FARM, YOU ARE DEEMED TO HAVE GIVEN A FULL RELEASE OF LIABILITY TO THE RELEASED PARTIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
